Year 6 Transition Visit to St Ninian's Church

On our recent visit, pupils from Harlow Green Primary had the opportunity to step inside St Ninian's Church, and reflect on what it means to be part of a wider community.

The children approached the day with curiosity and respect, and many came away with new understanding and lasting memories to carry with them as they prepare for the next stage of their journey. We also talked about being grateful for the places, people, and experiences that help us grow, and the children were proud to share what they had learned.

As we look ahead to the transition period, we want families to know how meaningful this visit was. It gave our Year 6 pupils time to pause, think, and consider what they might take with them—along with the connections they will keep—while also recognising that transition can be exciting and emotional. The children spoke about leaving behind familiar routines and embracing new beginnings, and they left the church with a sense of confidence and togetherness. Thank you to everyone who supported the visit; we hope these moments help our children feel being grateful and ready for what comes next.
