Year 6 R.E. Christianity
In Year 6 R.E., your child will explore Christianity and what it teaches about God’s love and salvation. We look closely at key events in the life of Jesus, including the Last Supper, where Jesus shared important teachings with his disciples and prepared them for what would come next. Children consider why these moments matter to Christians today and how they influence worship, prayer, and daily life.
We also study the crucifixion and what Christians believe it means for forgiveness and hope. Then we move on to the ascension to heaven, explaining how this event is understood in Christian faith and why it is celebrated. Through age-appropriate discussion and reflection, children begin to build a respectful understanding of Christian beliefs and how they shape the way believers live.
