What happens during a Christian Wedding?

In RE, Year Two have been learning about Christians and Christianity.

To begin the children learned about a Christian wedding, including what happens before and during the ceremony. They explored objects which are traditionally used as part of a wedding service. For example, a bouquet, wedding invite, ring, marriage certificate and the Holy Bible.

Next, the boys and girls sequenced pictures to explain the running order of a typical wedding day.

They identified features of a Christian Wedding and ranked them from most to least important. For example, the children decided that the cake was the least important and the bride and groom were the most important.

Article 14: Every child has the right to think and believe what they choose and also practice their religion, as long as they are not stopping other people from enjoying their rights.
