Roman Chariots
Roman chariots were exciting vehicles used in ancient Rome. They helped soldiers travel quickly and also played an important role in racing and ceremonies. Many people today are fascinated by how these chariots were designed, built, and used, and you can learn a lot by looking at the different parts and materials.
At Harlow Green Primary, our children can explore Roman chariots through creative classroom activities. Using simple tools like saws and glue guns, they can practise careful measuring and safe handling while bringing their own designs to life. They can choose colours, add details, and think about how different shapes and wheels might work together.
This project is a great way to practise design skills and encourage team-work. Children work in groups to plan what to build, share materials, and help each other when problems come up. Parents can support at home by asking questions about the design choices their child made and celebrating their effort and creativity.
