London's Burning!
In English, Year Two are reading Vlad and the Great Fire of London.
To launch their new text, the children explored what houses in 1666 looked like. Using images, they identified that most houses were made out wood and were very wonky. They also recognised that many of the houses had a similar pattern.
The children drew their design onto a template and coloured it using black and brown coloured pencils. They then stuck their design onto each side of a cereal box to create a 3D model. Finally. they added brown paper to resemble a thatched roof.
