Hockey Skills

In PE, Year Two have been practising their hockey skills.

To begin, the boys and girls practised controlling a ball with their hands. They had to bounce and catch the ball, sometimes using only one hand.

Next, the children practised their dribbling skills. They played a game of follow the leader before dribbling the ball between coloured cones. The boys and girls had to make sure they didn't lose control of the ball, keeping it close to the hockey stick and controlling the speed.

Finally, the children put their skills to the test by dribbling the ball through a target. Not only did they have to keep control of their ball but also be aware of everyone else around them.
