Fused Glass Art Exhibition
Year 4 had the amazing opportunity to create a unique piece of glass art as part of a workshop delivered by a visiting professional artist. The children created an image of the Angel Of The North by gluing small pieces of coloured glass onto a glass tile background, then they added powdered glass and paint to add colour to the background. The artists took the glass tiles away to be fired which causes the glass pieces to fuse together. The abstract images created were stunning and looked fantastic mounted in the picture frames. The children were extremely proud to show off their work in a gallery and to tell their families all about it.
