Activities

Our school choir are once again working extremely hard after school, on a Thursday evening, learning new songs, with the help of Chris and Sara Walton, (who give up their time every week), and our own Miss Donkin.  Following the success of their performance at Christmas, they will be showing off their talents again on Thursday 9th February, 2012 at 9:30am.  We hope parents, family members and friends of the choir can come along and join us.

On Friday 16th December our school choir performed a selection of songs which they have been practicing at their after school choir club. They did fantastic performances of, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, We wish you a Merry Christmas, So long farewell and Rolling in the Deep. Many thanks to all who supported this; we look forward to their next performance.

Some of our children recently signed up for and took part in fencing lessons after school.  The children took part in one hour coaching sessions, for five weeks, through Premier Sport.  They were taught many skills and last night saw the children put on a fencing display for their parents.  The children thoroughly enjoyed this, as did the many parents/carers who attended.  Angela, their coach, commented what a pleasure it had been to teach the group and how she looked forward to coming back to Harlow Green Community Primary School in the future.  Look out for details of a dodgeball club coming soon.  Well done to everyone who took part in the fencing club!
