School Closure
Due to the weather conditions and lack of available teaching staff, the school will unfortunately be closed on Wednesday 6th Januray. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Welcome Back
Welcome back, we hope you have had a lovely Christmas break.
Our topic this half term is Myself. We will be learning about our bodies in Science and also we will be making moving pictures. We will learn how to make our local environment safer including a visit around the local area.
In Literacy we are looking forward to learning about stories with familiar settings, poetry and instructions. We will also use laptops in ICT to label objects in and around school as well as organising information.

Events in Year 1
This academic year the topics we are studying are Homes, Toys, Me, and Holidays.
We recently walked around the local area to look at the different types of homes. We found detached, semi-detached, bungalows, flats and terraced houses.
We are looking forward to visiting the church at Lamesly. We have looked at artefacts from the church including a christening robe and we have also acted out a wedding.
