Recently, our Nursery children celebrated the Chinese New Year. This year is the year of the Dragon! Children had a special visit from Mrs Hutchinson who brought lots of Chinese artefacts in for the children to look at, hold and even try on. The children learned all about the special red money wallets that Chinese children receive at New Year. They also did some Chinese writing, painted Chinese blossom trees and made 3D dragons. Later that week Miss Donkin and Mrs Anderson had a "Chinese Buffet" where the children were given the chance to taste foods like noodles, rice and prawn crackers. Kai thought the food was "delicious" and Eloise said she "enjoyed the prawn crackers most as they were crunchy!"
