While working on the topic 'Exploring the World', year 6 took a closer look at South America. To help the children understand the wildlife found within the Amazon rainforest, Sam from Zoolab visited both year 6 classrooms bringing with her a variety of exotic animals.
The children had the opportunity to hold Amelia the millipede and Sidney the cockroach.
Unfortunately Sam couldn't bring a snake that would be found within the Amazon rainforest as they are too big and venomous, however she did bring her pet corn snake, Ruby, to give everyone the chance to hold a snake.
